Anne Mashiloane-Cele

Anne Mashiloane is a skilled television writer and film director, producer, and writer with extensive experience in the creative industry. Anne has written and directed numerous productions, including "The River" since 2019, and has served as a part-time lecturer in directing at AFDA. In addition to her directing work, she has trained as a script supervisor and worked on several South African elenovelas, including "High Rollers" and "The River." She has also served as a director on shows such as Ha Molefe, 016 FM as well we SAFTA-winning sitcom Roomies. Anne holds both an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in Motion Picture, Media, and Performance from AFDA, where she graduated on the Dean's list. Her academic research explored the preservation of marginalised languages through the motion picture medium. As a social entrepreneur, Anne is actively involved in various organisations, including the AU SADC Youth for Peace Programme and Fridays for Future RSA.
