Founded in 2017 by Sihle Mthembu, the company was born out of a desire to create a collective home for storytellers, grounded in a commitment to authentic, story-led content with a distinctly South African signature.

Our body of work spans drama, comedy, web series, podcasts, and documentary. As a 100% Black-owned and BBBEE-certified company (Reg. No. 2017/228179/07), we are proud to contribute to the transformation and growth of the local creative industry. Over the years, Auteur Studios has partnered with leading clients including SABC, eTV, Multichoice, SuperSport, Kagiso Media, East Coast Radio, Primedia, Tourism and Film KwaZulu-Natal, Essence Festival Durban, Durban International Film Festival, Durban FilmMart, eThekwini Municipality, and the KZN Department of Arts and Culture.
